West of the Mark is an award winning band from Buffalo, NY. Founded in 2004, the band has been honored with several awards. In 2010, the band was voted “BEST COUNTRY BAND” by Nightlife magazine. Among other awards.
West of the Mark was a “Featured Band Profile” in Nightlife Magazine in February, 2008.
The band has opened for 30 National Acts to date. The list includes in 2010: Diamond Rio, Dierks Bentley, Phil Vassar, Mark Wills, Josh Gracin, and Lee Brice. 2009: Big and Rich, Gretchen Wilson, Cowboy Troy, Steve Azar, and Heartland. 2008: Rhett Atkins, Flynnville Train, Luke Bryan, Lee Brice (again), The Oak Ridge Boys, Josh Turner, Josh Gracin (again), and Laura Bryna. Other highlights include Marty Stuart, Confederate Railroad, Mark Chestnutt, and others.
The Buffalo radio station WYRK 106.5FM has asked WOTM to host their annual “Country on the Coast” series for a third consecutive year in 2012. This event is a run of eight consecutive weeks through late June til Mid August in Angola, NY. It is capped off by a National Act at the last show for Charity!
This band has an energy on stage that draws even the non-country music fans in. With a collection of songs from the 90’s through today, and with a sprinkle of standard favorites infused, they appeal to large audiences. Playing hits from Garth, Kenny Chesney,
Keith Urban, Dierks Bentley, Johnny Cash, Alabama and Waylon Jennings, the band strives to keep current with the latest hits (rockers or ballads) and paying tribute to those who paved the way for modern country music.
