***West of the Mark***

West of the Mark is an award winning band from Buffalo, NY.  Voted “Best Country Act 2008” by Artvoice Magazine and nominated for a third time for “Best Country Band” by the Buffalo Music Awards/ Nightlife magazine.

WOTM was the “Featured Band Profile” in Nightlife Magazine in February 2008.

West of the Mark has opened for eighteen National Acts since 2004 including eight this year alone!  They include artists such as Luke Bryan, Flynnville Train, The Oak Ridge Boys, Josh Gracin and Josh Turner, Marty Stuart, Confederate Railroad, Mark Chestnutt, Richochet, LoCash Cowboys, Jason Micheal Carroll and others.

WOTM plays a variety of country music from rockers to classic country and some surprises in between.     With influences from Garth, Tritt, Chesney, Urban, Alan Jackson to Johnny and Waylon, this group plays it all with drive and emotion.

“West of The Mark is THEE BEST band to hit my club in a long time!! I come in on my night off to join the party that they create every time they play here!! High energy, great songs, professional all the way around. They rate a 12 out of 10!!...”  Buck (owner of The Roost Country Showcase, Henrietta NY).

"When I first embarked on locating local country bands, I asked the local musicians what band, in addition to themselves, they would recommend. The one name that continually came up was West Of The Mark.  They were then and are now the one band respected by the toughest  critics, their peers." Tom Barone (ESI Entertainment).

“A local band with a National quality”……..Jim Mengall (owner Club Paradise, Blasdell, NY).

“West of the Mark rocks!!!”……………..Flynnville Train (ShowDog recording artists).

Constant three and four part harmonies dominate this band as they strive to regionalize their music.  The philosophy that noone should have more fun than the band rings true.  West of the Mark delivers a high tempo show that has turned on non believers of country music and satisfied those who are supporters of the genre.  A worthwhile evening of good country music.

“We’ll see ya when we get there!”
